Search
You can have access to general information, which is different from the information you can obtain from this site, by clicking on the Search button at the top of the page.
If you know the publication number of a treaty, you can do a quick search by writing it as follows: year/number (for example 2003/9). Likewise, if you know the date of signature, write it this way: dd/mm/yyyy.
For a detailed search, you can select one of the four available buttons from the left side of the screen.
"All"
The first engine will lead you to information, in a non-discriminatory manner between the bilateral and multilateral treaties, by entering one subject and/or one keyword. Please note that it is now impossible to choose more than one subject or keyword at a time.
"Bilateral"
The second engine is designed to find information on bilateral treaties. You may choose one subject, and one country. You can search for information on treaties with an international organisation by using the same procedure. Please note that it is now impossible to choose more than one subject, keyword or international organization at a time.
"Multilateral"
The third engine allows you to search for information on multilateral treaties to which Canada is a signatory, a party or for which it is a depositary.
"Plurilateral"
The fourth engine works like the above-mentioned.
